Final exam

I learnt a lot from this class and I enjoyed it tremendously. I learnt a lot of skills in all the various programs that we used, from Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. I particularly gained from the skills that I learnt from excel with all the formatting and charts and formulas. I think that will help me the most being that excel is such a wonderful tool. I also have the privilege of having a wonderful teacher who taught us our material so well and so patiently. Thank you again for a wonderful semester, I really enjoyed it tremendously and gained a tremendous amount, and it was a wonderful way to finish up my last semester here as an undergrad. Thank you!

6th casegrader

I learnt a lot from the 6th casegrader. I reviewed the skill of extending a series as i did continuing the tee time. Additionally i reviewed using the absolute function when it came to plugging in the equations for the greens and total amounts. Finally i practiced changing the format to accounting and custom and the cell style option.

The Next three excel casegraders

I just completed the next three casegraders. It was very helpful, especially the 5th casegrader, as i was able to practice making a chart, and moving it from one sheet to another, even though i had some trouble figuring out what exactly i was supposed to do to transfer the chart from one sheet to another, however i figured it out soon after. I also practiced the skill of using an equation from one sheet to another.

First two excel casegraders

I just completed the first two casegraders on the excel grader. I needed to do the second case grader twice before getting a 100, because i misread the instructions. I really enjoyed using the chart option with all the information, and i thought it was cool with using the 3D Chart. I was also able to review the formatting with merge and center and the cell style option. Finally i also reviewed the equation options in the first excel grader with the percentages and the calculations.

Essay about my family history

My name is Effie Richmond, and Effie is short for Efriam Asher. I am named after two of my grandfathers; Efraim was my mother’s, mother’s father, who passed away many years before I was born, and even before my parents were alive. Asher was my father’s mother’s father who passed away even before my father was alive. Unfortunately I do not know much about either of my two ancestors who I was named after, but I hope that I continue their legacy and make them proud that I am their namesake. I am one of four children, with two older sisters and a younger brother. Both of my sisters are married and my oldest sister has a daughter who is a little over a year and a half old. Needless to say, she is the pride and joy of my parents, and whenever she comes over; the world stops and revolves around her every movement and every sound that she makes.
My parents both grew up in New York City, yet in the opposite sides of Manhattan Island. My father grew up in the lower east side, where his parents along with many other Jews emigrated from Europe, running away from the war. My mother grew up in the upper west side where her parents also moved to after the war. My mother’s father came over to America with only his sister, after losing his parents in the war, and somehow came across my grandmother and her family, and instantly came attached and got married shortly after. My mother’s parents, thankfully are still alive and well and live in the upper west side, where they lived in the same building their entire marriage, however, my father’s parents unfortunately passed away when I was a little less than four years old.
My parents were set up by my uncle, my mother’s brother, shortly after he got married, and they moved to Forest Hills after they got married. A number of years into their marriage, my aunt and uncle decided one Sunday to look for a house to buy in Teaneck, NJ and asked my parents if they wanted to come along. My parents had no other plans, so they decided to join them, and they found a house that they loved, and moved there. We have been living happily in the same house for the past 23+ years.

Third assignment on casegrader

For my third assignment on casegrader, i had a little trouble in the beginning, as my first time I posted my assignment i didn't do as well as I would have liked, so I did it a second time, and then I got a 100. I learned the idea of spacing between two paragraphs to seperate the different paragraphs. I also reminded myself the idea of indenting the paragraphs using the increase indent tab on the top of the page. Finally i reviewed the format painter tool, and the F4 button to copy what I did on previous paragraphs.

First assignment in Casegrader

the first two assignments in the casegrader went by with quite ease. However, in the second assignment, we were supposed to replace "your job counselor" with "your DTS counselor" and i did not realize that there were multiple corrections that were needed for that task, and i only did one of them, resulting in my original grade of 91. However, after i checked what i got wrong, i changed the remaining mistakes and got a 100 on the second time around. A lot of the skills were a good review of what we learnt in the first couple of classes.

Microsoft Word tutorial

The Microsoft Word tutorial was quite useful.
Even though a lot of the things that were mentioned there i already knew i definitely learned a couple of new tricks. Some of the things i learned included converting a file that is saved in a microsoft word 2007 format to an older format, and vice versa using the covert tab on the file bar. Another thing i learned was that you can hide the options on the top of the page if you want more space to work. It was definitely helpful go gain those extra tricks i didn't know about Word 2007.
